The Power of the Teacher's Union

Over at The Daily Blogster, Bob has a videoclip posted that explains the process leaders from the Locke High School in Los Angeles went through in order to convert their school into a public charter school. Note that the teacher's union actually opposed the majority of Locke teachers who wanted the Green Dot company to manage their school as a charter school. Further, the principal was removed and assigned to a cubicle near the bathrooms at the Los Angeles Unified School District headquarters. Fortunately, parents and students were eventually successful!
