The Democrats in the state House of Representatives have elected Rep. Terrance Carroll as the Speaker of the House. This means the Speaker of the House and the President of the Senate (Senator Peter Groff) are the two prime sponsors of the 2004 Charter School Institute Act and very strong supporters of charter schools. Congratulations to the new Speaker!
